pureLiFi – LiFi: Enable new connectivity with light.
14:50 CET
Dr. Nikola Serafimovski: / VP Standardisation & Business Development, pureLiFi
LiFi technology can enable unparalleled security and reliable connectivity in RF hostile and complex manufacturing environments. PureLiFi will talk about how LiFi can enable new use cases and overcome challenges associated with using Radio Frequencies in manufacturing environments. LiFi uses light rather than radio frequencies to transmit data offering high speeds, low latency, and highly secure wireless communications for both internet access and M2M communications. LiFi products and technologies offered by pureLiFi can enable manufacturing environments to save time, reduce errors and increase productivity and security.
Dr. Nikola Serafimovski:
Dr. Nikola Serafimovski has been working with major companies in the area of LiFi technology and commercialization to create a comprehensive ecosystem of relevant partners for the mass market deployment of LiFi. Nikola is the current Chair of the IEEE 802.11 Light Communications Task Group, the Vice-Chair of the IEEE 802.15.13 Task Group on Multi-gigabit Optical Wireless Communications and Co-Chair for the Light Communications Alliance.
Nikola completed his Masters of Science in Communications System Engineering with Jacobs University Bremen in 2007 including a joint MSc thesis with the University of Edinburgh on Visible Light Communications in 2009 before completing his Ph.D. with the University of Edinburgh on Spatial Modulation, which is a novel physical layer modulation technique, in 2013.
